New Songs To Debut June 1

It's now official, we're on  at 10:00 at Lydia's June 1st. We have two new songs (which run together like one)  that we're debuting: Where Do You Go From and Everywhere But Here. For  those that were there last time, the rest of the setlist will be the same. You'll  also notice we have no planned shows after June 1. We're going to be focusing our  energies on recording some demos, though if anyone is interested in having us play  a show or playing with us, we definitely would like to do that. Of course, we'll  probably have a song or two posted here, so check back.

Featured Artwork

Added some artwork from Jennifer Cox to the site with Mike last night and it looks great (though we still have to get her permission) as well as a photo of my own.

Also, I put up the only two decent recordings we have in the Phono section, two covers we did for FrankBlack.Net's tributes to the Pixies and  Frank Black. Hopefully, we'll have some of our own music there soon, too.

A Hex upon Compuserve

Lots of cool stuff today. I spent a couple hours playing around with the GIFs in HEX and looking at the Compuserve GIF specification so that I could make an animated GIF for our album. Found out that I can do that in Adobe ImageReady much easier than splicing together GIFs and modifying hex. Also got the rollover effects done for the titlebar and figured out enough to give this page the fancy scrollbar you should be looking at. I'll see what else I can get done
before we rehearse tonight.

Mouse-over, Mouse-out

Website slowly coming along. Did some mouse-over menus today, but not code. We won't have a brand new set June 1st, but we've got 3 new songs (Where Do You Go From / Everywhere But Here / Ann O. Uni) that will be ready, and we'll see which others we throw in. Also trying to get onboard with the CFCR/306fest Fundraiser in the basement June 12.

Asterid Now Part of Latest Age

Created the website. Still have to find a good host so we can stream some audio and host some MP3s and pictures without selling Todd's left kidney to pay for it. Created some retroactive     journal/news entries liberally dosed in melted cheddar. Mmm... cheesy.

May 18 - Lydia's

Our first show tonight - Lydia's Open Stage. We were scheduled to go on at 10:20 and didn't end up starting until about 10:45, which worked out pretty well because it seemed to be getting busier as the night got later. It was a short 5 song set, about 17 minutes playtime... it was very nice to have an audience that doesn't consist of small rodents and house pets.

We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly, hopefully everyone else did too. We'll be back for a second open stage show June 1st at Lydia's again, with at least a few new songs.

Setlist: 1. A-Line;  2. The Sincerest Element;  3. The Rhythm of Life;  4. Pinstripe Gin;  5.     Brigantine
